1940s WWII Hand Carved Wooden Wedge Sandals Made in Philippines

Original 1940s WWII novelty hand carved, hand painted, wooden wedge sandals. 

These sandals were sold in the Philippines during the 1940s and were sold as souvenirs for soldiers to send to their sweethearts back home. 

Sandals showcase a badjao (a stilt house on water) , ocean, and palm tree.
